Letter From Recruitment Chair
Dear potential new member,
On behalf of the sisters of Phi Mu Fraternity of the Theta Gamma chapter at Florida International University, I would like to thank you for showing interest in our sisterhood.
I’m delighted to know that you’re interested in learning more about formal sorority recruitment. Recruitment is an experience unlike any other, providing young women with an opportunity to network, grow and become more well-rounded collegians.
Students often times venture into college thinking, “I want THE college experience.” “I want these next few years to be the best in my life thus far. I want to succeed academically, become a better person, improve and give back to my community, make memories that’ll last a lifetime, be part of something bigger than myself and ultimately have an experience that cannot be replicated and that I’ll cherish for the rest of my life.” Though sometimes having such high expectations can be intimidating, there’s no need to settle. Going through formal sorority recruitment can help give you all of this by complimenting all of your expectations with experiences you can apply to the rest of your life. This year, Phi Mu along with seven other Panhellenic organizations will participate in spring recruitment. I highly encourage anyone thinking about going through recruitment to take the plunge and sign up. Experiencing Greek life first hand can be one of the most rewarding experiences throughout your undergraduate career.
I invite you to consider us this spring semester and sincerely look forward to meeting you. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you might have.
