New Member Experience
The Phi Program – This eight-week new member program enhances the Phi Mu Experience by helping new members transition into Fraternity membership. The online component includes an orientation, expectations of membership and journal prompts which help our new members begin their lifetime involvement in Phi Mu. The online modules in partnership with Phi meetings provide new members with the framework for personal, academic, social and professional growth.
Within your 8 week member process you will have many important and memorable moments during that time! During that time you will go on Phi retreat, Phi Pinning, Big and Little and more. Below is a little explanation of some of the events we have..
Phi Retreat: Phi Retreat is an overnight stay at a condo or hotel with your whole phi class. This overnight stay allows you to learn a deeper meaning about Phi Mu and our bond. During that time you are making those exact bonds with your soon to be sisters!
Phi Pinning: Phi Pinning is a ceremony where you will are able to get your phi badge. This Phi badge is a black and gold quatrefoil with the greek letter phi in the middle of it and can be proudly worn by the new member!
Big and Little reveal: Big and Little week is one of the most exciting weeks as a new member! During this week you will receive many baskets that can include a various of things such as Phi Mu merch, your favorite candy and more. At the end of the week is when you find out who your big is. Every reveal has funky and fun themes which makes this event that much more fun!
Initiation: This is the biggest day of your phi process as this is the day you enter into our sisterhood that will last you a life time!
